1. What type of a program is this?

Courchevel, the famous French ski resort, is our Sister City with resolutions being adopted by both parties in 1984. For more than 2 decades now, many students have been lucky enough to participate in cultural and linguistic exchanges, forming lasting memories and building life-long friendships. Every 2 years during the February break, 17 - 19 PCHS students spend ten days in family immersion, skiing and participating in outings and other activities organized by their French host in Courchevel. In turn, our students and their families welcome the young French people so they can experience Park City during 2 - 3 weeks in the summer.  It is important to note that beyond the high school experience, many students and adults have taken advantage of this opportunity to work and visit in Courchevel.  Well over 100 of our high school students have taken advantage of this exchange program and many more adults have participated in adult exchange as well.

2.  Are the board members paid?

They are volunteers, with their time and talents that each of them bring to the table.  Generally the board members are associated with the French program in the schools or have had students who have participated in the program.

3.  What sources of funding do you have?

The program is funded primarily by the families of students who participate.  Occassionally we have supplemental  funds from the Park City School District and from the Park City Municipal Corporation.
